Warburg, Alberta Author Featured in New Dog Book
Minneapolis, Minnesota, November 4, 2008
– Warburg’s Gloria Bullerwell and her husband teamed up, as new ranchers, with
a pair of Maremmas, an ancient breed of livestock guarding dogs, to save their
livestock. Bullerwell says, “Icy and Bouncer demonstrated survival instincts
and creativity. Without any help from humans, they befriended and protected our
livestock from wolves and coyotes.” The story of how Maremmas instinctively
trained each other and saved the Bullerwell’s herd on sacred Native American
lands in the wilds of Canada is featured in a new book, Angel Dogs
with a Mission: Divine Messengers in Service to All Life by authors, Allen
and Linda Anderson (New World Library, October 1, 2008). The book is a
collection of twenty true stories about dogs who found their purpose in life
and gave without expecting a return.
Bullerwell
is owner and manager of Buck-aboo Acres ( www.buck-a-boo-acres.com
), a guest ranch with a peaceful enviroment that welcomes ecotourists and
people who want a unique experience with nature.
Allen
and Linda Anderson are founders of the Angel Animals Network
(www.angelanimals.net), inspirational speakers, clergy members, and authors of
the award-winning Rescued: Saving Animals from Disaster as well as nine
other books in the popular Angel Animals series.
Marc
Bekoff, PhD, professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology at the
University of Colorado, Boulder, wrote in the foreword for Angel Dogs with a
Mission: “This book will change your life and the lives of those with whom you
share it.”
As
with the hugely popular Marley & Me, dog lovers will be inspired and
entertained by the dramatic human-and-dog journeys in this new book. The
amazing stories provide laughter, proof that miracles are possible, and tears
-- the good kind.
Amelia
Kinkade, author of Straight from the Horses Mouth, says, “This book is a
tribute to the fact that many of our most effective doctors, nurses, therapists,
police officers, emotional counselors, rescue workers, and spiritual teachers
have four legs instead of two.”
